Please reach out to us if you have any questions at all!
Eviktus customises each service to the specific needs of each client - so this can be a bit of a tricky question to answer. No two treatment solutions are identical, just like no two homes and no two pest problems are identical either. It's difficult to say exactly what will happen during a treatment service. However, most of our treatment services do have a few things in common.
Your 'initial' or 'welcome' service is an appointment to assess the pest situation you are experiencing, identify the best treatment strategy for your pest situation, provide the initial phase of the treatment strategy that eliminates your pest problem, and then set up and further treatments as required to maintain your pest free home or business. These are carried out as 'routine' services.
Think of it like this - the focus of the initial service is to get the pests out and the focus of any routine service is to keep the pests out. This approach is predominately for insects and rodents.
For stinging insects like wasps, this is a service that is undertaken as required where we will treat the nest to eradicate all wasps present and then remove the nest.
If you don't already have a pest situation, then the focus will always be implementing protective barriers and preventative measures to avoid encountering a pest situation.
If we are providing your initial or welcome service, someone over the age of 18 will need to be home to provide access to the property and discuss the pest activity that has been experienced and answer any questions from the technician. If we are providing a routine service that involves and interior treatment, someone over the age of 18 will need to be home to provide access to the property - unless of course you are comfortable leaving a key or have a mechanism to provide remote access. We want to be as convenient as possible for you!
We do kindly ask that all residents and pets vacate the property for the duration of the treatment and for up to several hours afterwards, until the product applied has had the opportunity to completely dry, as this is when it is safe to humans and animals.
If we are providing an external treatment only, we are able to complete the treatment if we have access to all areas we require. If you will not be home during a service, we do ask that any pets be secured inside the property or removed from the property for the duration of the service.
You may return to your home as soon as the products applied have dried completely - that's when it's safe for human and animals to return. This timeframe can vary depending on the treatment and weather condition, but generally it will be within two to four hours from completion of the treatment. Your Eviktus technician will advise you of the re-entry requirements during your service appointment.
Eviktus uses a range of different products for it's customised pest solutions. While the selection of products used is diverse and extensive, we can guarantee a few things about these products:
We always carry Safety Data Sheets (SDS) for each product and are happy to share this information with you at any time during your service with Eviktus.
Yes, the products used by Eviktus in your home or business are the same products that are applied to venerable sites including childcares, schools, aged care facilities and hospitals.
You can sleep well knowing your safety is paramount to Eviktus.
As an alternative to the standard synthetic solutions for treating pests, can also offer an organic solution upon request.
Yes, generally synthetic solutions provide more efficient and effective results. For the majority of cases, if requested, we can use a synthetic solution to manage existing pests that are present, then switch to a botanically derived solution to maintain your protection and keep new pests out of your home or business.
No, the rain will not affect your treatment providing the product has had the opportunity to dry beforehand. Eviktus will not complete an exterior service in the rain or if rain is forecast within the next few hours.
If you find multiple instances of a pest in a short period of time the chances are that it is not an isolated occurrence and there may be a growing infestation in your home or business.
If you are sighting rodent droppings or urine marks under the sink or in your pantry you likely have a rodent situation that could develop quite quickly.
Please do not hesitate to reach out for assistance to manage a pest situation, we are the professionals here to help you in these circumstances.
There are several different factors that can contribute to pests wandering into your home or office and overstaying their welcome. Some pests are attracted simply because it provides a source of shelter. Many are attracted because of their instinct to find a food source. Others may simply be searching for a safe place to build their nest. Many pests are not attracted to your home or office exactly but instead the plants and grass surrounding it or within close proximity to it.
Simple - the products and the technician applying the products.
The products: Eviktus uses professional graded products that are regulated by the Environmental Protection Authority (EPA). These products require a license for application - both domestically and commercially. There are products you can purchase at hardware stores that will kill some pests and appear to work well, but the trouble is they may cause the surviving pest population to spread out and become more challenging to manage.
The technician applying the products: Eviktus technicians are all qualified, licensed and experienced in treating the pest situations you are experiencing and familiar with effective strategies to eradicate pest infestations efficiently and effectively.
There are several things that you can do to partner with Eviktus and ensure you treatment solutions achieve optimal results.

The exact amount of time to see results varies based on a number of factors such as the pest or pests being treated, the level of infestation, and the time of year. There will be situations where you will notice an immediate effect and others where it may take several days to several weeks to realise the full effect of the treatment.
In order to effectively manage a pest situation, getting ahead of the reproductive rate is crucial. As most pests reproduce at an alarmingly rapid rate, it generally takes at least a few days for enough pests to come into contact with the product and for the treatment to decrease the pest population enough so that it cannot replenish faster than the treatment is working.
This is particularly true for bait products used to treat ants because the ant comes into contact with the product and then takes it back to the nest, spreading it to other ants in the colony. In order to eradicate the colony, enough ants must bring the product back to the nest that is spreads all the way to the queen.
